Reflection on my life

So today is by 18th Birthday and I think it had to be one of the best birthdays ever. I just felt so loved by everyone, my family and my friends I am eternally grateful to you for being in my life. You might be wondering what I'm on about 'life reflection' since I'm only 18 but it seems like a serious length of time though.

I think I had the best possible childhood I could have ever dreamed of. I was one of those kids running around barefoot on the rocky pathway, having foot races against my sisters and the neighbourhood kids to the end of the pathway. Drinking nectar out of flowers and pretending that the boot of the car was a space shuttle and I was an astronaut. I wasn't really serious about my school work then. Heck i even used to throw my school bag onto the road in front of my house after i got off the school bus from school, my poor grandad had to pick it up everyday (rest in peace)
hmmm I was a little emo even then huh?

When we moved to New Zealand it wasn't really a big deal to me because I was still young and it just seemed like a new adventure. The best thing about moving was that before I left I got a whole box of cadbury chocolates to give to my classmates, and there were lots of bars left so I ate them all.....yeah
Adjusting to school was hard. Knowing only how to say 'hi my name is Nadeeja' and a few english words didn't help but I'm actually amazed how fast I picked it up. I'm not boasting or anything, i think in general, if people move to different countries the first ones to adjust are the children.

High school I loved...still love. hehe it's not finished yet.
yr 9 was scary though because I hardly knew anyone, but that was the case with everyone wasn't it?
I made friends with Jessica first. She was sitting next to me when we were playing the name games and I still remember us introducing ourselves and from then on we kinda stayed friends till now.
Me, jess, bessie and rachel were in the same formclass in the beginning of yr 9 (ain joined in the middle). I remember talking to bessie for the first time during maths. you were so smart even then bess :D
rachel kinda came along with bessie. haha first impressions were that you guys were short. can't say that now, now I'm the shortest ones. the cruel way of life :P
Met Cindy through Rachel. first impressions: weird and possesive of her tamagochi. haha
then Ain came along during middle of school year. so glad that you clicked with bessie and....wow everything just seemed to work out perfectly from there. except for minor glitches (BESSIE LEAVING FOR AUZ WAAA :'( but hey we're still friends :D).
Ming and Tian I met officially (unofficially was in camp) in yr 10. when I saw them i actually thought (in all honesty) 'I want to be friends with them', and I've never looked back on that.
Having you guys as my friend these past years I've realised how I've come to depend on you, to cherish you and love you. You guys have let me be myself and I'm so thankful for that, for having you guys accept me for who I am.

People including me have said that nothing is ever perfect
So why does it feel perfect now?
People have said that nothing is impossible
So why does it feel impossible to say goodbye?
People say that goodbye isn't forever
So why am I so scared of what the future holds?

I don't know what the future holds. Next year everything will be different. We'll be in different places, doing different things but I hope we never change our love for each other, because each and every one of you I admire as my friends and as people and I would hate to lose you.
The place I am in life right now...I've never felt more lucky
So I made a birthday wish
that everyone in my life will always be happy
